Anna Grabka

Associate Professor for classical ballet, pointe technique and classical repertoire.

Former first soloist of the Polish National Ballet and the Hamburg Ballet under the direction of Professor John Neumeier. International guest ballet-master of European ballet companies.

Visiting professor at the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She completed the National Ballet Academy in Warsaw, and from 1980 to 1985 completed a training in ballet pedagogy at the F.Chopin University of Music, completing her five years of studying with a master´s thesis. In her career she interpreted the main roles of almost all classical and neoclassical ballet repertoire. The collaboration with Irina Jacobson, Truman Finney, Natalia Makarova, Patrice Bart and John Neumeier  was particularly significant for Anna.

Since 1997 she is engaging in teaching duties, first with the Hamburg Ballet, then as a guest-teacher of several ballet ensembles in Europe. Since 2003 she holds rehearsals and exercise classes at the Royal Swedish Ballet. Since 2011 she is an associate professor at the Dance Academy Zurich/ Zurich University of the Arts.
